About Alex LoRe

Noted by the New York Times as a saxophonist who is “...making the connections among about 70 years’ worth of contemplative, articulate and light-toned players”, saxophonist and composer Alex LoRe's playing and compositions are influenced by a variety of genres, ranging from European classical music through today’s most influential artists on both the jazz and popular music scenes. Originally from Tarpon Springs, Florida, LoRe holds a bachelor's degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music. Alex is a Vandoren Performing Artist and is on teaching staff at the New School College of Performing Arts in Manhattan. He currently lives in Brooklyn.
