About Jamie Dech
Jamie Dech has played saxophone and clarinet for over 40 years. He taught himself clarinet at the age of 10. By the time he was 15, he was chosen to be the solo clarinetist in the International Youth Symphony (a joint venture between musicians in Southern Ontario and Southeast Michigan). He started playing sax in high school because it was a lot more fun than the clarinet. He does occasional studio work for various artists in Detroit, Toronto, London and Windsor. He is also a frequent guest in various venues in the Detroit-Windsor area, particularly with various gospel groups and local jazz festivals. He is actively involved with several praise and worship teams in his home town.
